Prince Alexander of Serbia c1916. Appointed Regent of Serbia in 1916, during the First World War he was supreme commander of the Serbain Army. As Alexander I of Yugoslavia (1888-1934) also called King Alexander Unificator, he became king of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia (1921-1929) and king of Yugoslavia (1929-1934). While in Marseilles in 1934 on a state visit to France he was assassinated by a Macdonian terrorist in the pay of Croatia.
