A magnificent karabela with ivory grip, Stroblberger Royal Arms Factory, Munich, circa 1820/30 A forged blade of watered steel with fullered back, yelmen, and pandour point. There are fine, gilded, partially silver-plated, decorations in the form of trophies, stars, and flowers along its entire length. The back bears gilded serpentine line decoration. Lengthwise the blade is half blued and half damascened. Varnished with minimal stains.
