Gentlemen: The Claudit, Pea was all you claimed for it. Shall want x/2 bit. next year. Yours truly, F. L. BUTLER. The statement we made regarding it last year is as follows : We introduced this Tea last season, and printed the originator's description. The claims made for it were so bold that we felt if it met them but half way it would prove to be a genuine acquisition. A number of market and private growers were induced to give it a trial; all of them were more than satisfied with the results obtained. In our own trial grounds at Hingham we planted it alongside of such early sorts as Surprise, Alaska, and a fine strain of Extra Earlies. Claudit was in flower and pod as early as the first of these, and showed its superiority in not only producing a greater number of pods than any of them but twice the size of the large-it. The seeds are large, deep green in color and slightly indented or wrinkled; they are produced 7 to 9 in a pod and are of delicious flavor and sweetness. The vine is of vigorous growth, about zx/2 feet in height and very productive. This is in our opinion the Ideal Early Pea, because of its earliness, its large-sized pods, its fine quality and the fact that it is no more liable to rot through early planting than the Alaska is. We especially recommend it for both the market and home garden. Pt., 20 cents; qt., 35 cents; pk., $ For complete list of Peas s
