Little green bee-eater (Merops orientalis). This bird is thought to be monogamous. It feeds on insects including wasps and ants, but as it names suggests, prefers bees. It removes the sting and exoskeleton by thrasing it against a hard surface. Photographed in Yala Natrional Park, Sri Lanka.
