In the use ofthe cottage preference should be given to members of the Pennsyl-vania Railroad Department, Y. M. C. A. of Philadelphia. If this offer is acceptable to the Board I will arrange with thecontractors to proceed with the erection of the building at once,with a view to having it completed in time for occupancy sometimeduring the month of August, 1904. Patton, Broad Street Station, Philadelphia, Mr. Patton: I have received and filed as a part of the minutes of our lastmeeting your letter concerning the cottage. It gives the Directorsmore than ordinary pleasure to accept and care for that cottage, andit will have a peculiar interest, not only to Mrs. Douglas and myself,but to the members of the Pennsylvania Railroad Department. I met Mr. Gregory yesterday, and at seven oclock this morninghad the site marked out, the lines drawn, and the work ready to pro-ceed.
