The South African giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis giraffa) is a subspecies of giraffe found in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique. It has rounded or blotched spots, some with star-like extensions on a light tan background, running down to the hooves.
