EVERETT, Wash. (May 29, 2017) Cmdr. Jerry D. Jackson, executive officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102), from Huntington Beach, Calif., salutes as members of the Everett High School Navy Junior Recruit Officer Training Command color guard parade the colors during a Memorial Day ceremony at the Evergreen Memorial Park in Everett, Wa. The event is the 99th annual Memorial Day ceremony coordinated by the Snohomish County Memorial Committee and is designed to honor service members who gave their lives in the line of duty to their nation.
