JUNIOR FESTIVAL TO BE MAY 9 AT LONGWOOD The Junior Festival of Music of theSouthside Counties of Virginia willbe held in the amphitheatre of Long-wood, May 9. beginning at 3:30 p. Alfred H. Strick is director ofthis festival. Plans are under way to bring chil-dren from eight counties to be in thefestival chorus. Prince Edward, Ap-pomattox, Charlotte, Cumberland,Lunenburg. Mecklenberg and Notto-way counties will be represented. Thefreshmen class of S. T. C. and theChoral Club will participate. Among other plans is a broadcastover station WRVA between 4 and 5oclock during the festival. Between five and six thousandpeople are expected to attend thisgreat musical event.
