An unmanned aerial system circles as a signal jamming device developed by Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., tracks it during the 2016 Air Force Research Laboratory Commanders Challenge at the Nevada National Security Site, Las Vegas, NV., Dec. 11, 2016. Teams were given six months to develop counter unmanned aerial systems to aid in base defenses. Tinker's system tracks UAS devices through sight, sound and GPS coordinates provided by a radar before jamming the device's signal to bring it down. ( Air Force photo by Wesley Farnsworth)
