The aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk returns to her homeport of San Diego after being forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan for the past 10 years. The 46- year-old carrier is the oldest active-duty warship in the Navy and will be replaced this summer by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington as the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
