A gilt magnificent powder flask with iron chiselling, Caspar Spät, Munich, circa 1640 Curved, octagonal fruitwood body, both sides with finely engraved and blackened bone inlays. On the large panels Perseus with Medusa's head respectively a mythological scene with an archer and a sea monster. The narrow sides between bone strips inlaid with engraved mascarons, animals and fine tendrils. Iron, chiselled and gilt mounting with spring-loaded spout in the typical style of Caspar Spät.
