At least 1,500 tons of Yakima cull apples will be converted into cider at the Lust & Walters plant, according to David Walters. The company has completely overhauled its plant and is preparing for a run of boiled cider. In former years it made fresh cider, but the Volstead act makes this impossible on a commercial basis.
