An over-and-under flintlock rifle South German/Swabian, circa 1780. Octagonal smooth bore barrels in 12 mm calibre with cannon muzzles, the upper one equipped with a silver front sight. Each barrel decorated with three finely cut, allegoric female figures on top, the roots of the barrels also chiselled and illegibly marked. Slightly chiselled flintlocks with polished, curved lockplates, marked "ITR" underneath the frizzen springs. Finely and florally carved wooden full stock with openwork brass furniture.
