Holy Well the 'Virtuous Well' (Fyynnon Rhineddol) at Trelleck, Monmouthshire, South Wales, UK.
Holy Well the 'Virtuous Well' (Fyynnon Rhineddol) at Trelleck, Monmouthshire, South Wales, UK. One of the tree wonders of Trelleck; the Tump Ferret and ancient Harolds Stones being the other two, the well is thought to have medicinal properties and people still leave articles of clothing tied to overhanging trees and offerings within the well to aid healing. Legend also has it that fairies come at night to drink from harebell flowers at the well.
