Memorials of the Anzac battle built at Chunuk Bair are visited by patrons of mostly New Zealand and Australia during the Anzac commemoration day on 25 April 2006 Chunuk Bair was the furthest and highest point of the daunting hills of Gallipoli that the Anzac troups reached. Chunuk Bair is also the commemoration site of the New Zealand forces. Australia's main memorial is at Lone Pine, nearby.
