During the past summer a bed, 8 feet wide by 100 feet long, in a semi-shaded position in our nursery, planted with these two varieties, was the brightest and most attractive border on our grounds and a revelation to all visitors. Both varieties are of strong vigorous growth, but dwarf in habit, never exceeding 8 to 10 inches in height and throw up numberless stems of full double flowers from early in July until cut down by frost. A continuous display of color which is simply dazzling in bright- ness and which is not equalled in any other flower. Duke Zeppelin. Pure rich scarlet. Strong bulbs, 15 cents each ; $ per dozen ; $ per 100. Lafayette. Brilliant crimson scarlet. Strong bulbs, 30 cents each ; $ per dozen. The Lorraine Begonias. Gloire de Lorraine and Light Fink Lorraine. These beautiful Begonias are undoubtedly the best Winter Flowering Pot Plants we possess, especially so for the Holiday Season. The demand again this year has been far in excess of the supplies, but we are now prepared to book orders for July delivery at $ per dozen; $ per 100; or $ per 1000 in thrifty young plants which will start off in a vigorous growth at once and which can readily be grown into 6 or 7-inch pots for next winter's use.
