A silver-mounted hunting hanger, Ansbach, circa 1780 Robust double-edged blade of hexagonal section. The root with silver-inlaid embossed maker's inscription "Rohe - Anspach". The quillons decorated in relief and with silver rain guard. Grips of dark horn with three silver decorative rivets on either side. Original, shagreen leather- covered wood scabbard, silver mounts with iron drag. The scabbard mounts with punch marks "13" and "CR" with crown. Inserted non-corresponding fork.
