Central Artery Replacement, Boston, USA

Cross Street (left) and Surface Road (right) are new one-way couplets built to serve local traffic when the old, elevated Central Artery (Interstate 93) was torn down after being replaced by a system of tunnels under the city and the harbor. Hanover Street (middle distance) crosses the park and the new road tunnels buried underneath it.
