Fossilized shrimp, species Carpopenaeus callirostris, from Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian) chalks near Hajoula in Lebanon, a renown location for the occurrence of an extensive fossilized fauna and flora from the mid Cretaceous (Cenomanian) period, dating nearly 100 million years back. Shrimp belong to the Phylum of the Arthropoda, this specimen to the family of Carpopenaeidae. Actual size 90 mm.
