The remaining portions of the north pier (Sections A, B, C, D, and E) and the south pier (Sections G, H, B, and J) are bulging, tilting, leaning, cracked and misaligned. These factors, along with loss of fill stone, indicate substructure deterioration. The structures are considered in poor condition; however, major rehabilitation has been recommended and is scheduled for 1987.
