This, however, is not evidence to personswho have not been present, and to them I can only say that to thebest of my scientific belief no collusion or trickery was possible under the varied circumstances of the experiments When one has the control of the circumstances, can change them at will andarrange ones own experiments, one gradually acquires a belief
