D. 98 In the interest of all concerned it was deemed ad\dsable to make a concentrateddrive to complete tuberculin testing of all herds in the Commonwealth during the1934 fiscal year. It was evident, however, that there was not a sufficient sum ofmoney appropriated for services and travel expenses of veterinarians and United States Bureau of Animal Industry through Dr. E. A. Grossman,Federal Inspector in Charge in Massachusetts, came to the assistance of theDivision with the offer of the services of additional Federal veterinarians, thusmaking it possible to complete the area test by November 30th. If it had notbeen for the assistance of the United States Bureau of Animal Industry and thewholehearted support and personal interest of Dr. Crossman it would have beenimpossible to have completed the work on the date set.
