The Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino Resort has 2400 rooms and a 118,000 square feet (11,000 square metres) gaming floor, with 830 slot machines, 55 table games, 8 poker games and race and sports book. The casino opened in 1959 and re-named Imperial Palace, with an Oriental Theme, in 1979. The first of four hotel towers was built in 1981. In 2012 its owners, Caesar's Entertainment re-named it the 'Quad Resort and Casino'. Ghirardelli sells chocolate, ice cream and sundaes. The shop on the left is a tattoo parlour.
