RAF Fighters of 1939 at Shoreham Airshow

A beautifully restored Supermarine Spitfire Mk1. Based on the aircraft flown by Geoffrey Stephenson who used this aircraft to shoot down a Junkers 87 "Stuka" before being shotdown himself. The aircraft lay buried in the sand before being excavated in the eighties to form the basis of this painstaking restoration.
