H. G. MuUis has just returned from Peterborough and reports a full meet- ing of the executive committee of the Canadian Horticultural Association at the National hotel there, with Mr. Wal- ter Muston presiding. Matters were discussed in connection with the an- nual convention, to be held in that city next August, when it is to be hoped there will be something done. We pre- fer to say "something done" rather than "something doing," as the lat- ter phrase suggests more talk than ac- tion sometimes, and action is what is badly needed in the C. H. A., if one may be excused for speaking plainly. Mark Henderson was elected by ac- clamation to fill the vacancy on the Brampton town council last week. G. Muller, of the Julius Eoehrs Co., Eutherford, N. J., made a special trip here last week, in the interests of his firm. H. G. Dillemuth and J. A. Neal, of Toronto, and J. G. McDermott, of Ottawa, also visited the greenhouses. It is understood that many of To- ronto's prominent florists intend to see the International Flower Show at New York next month. W. G. P.
