After the race at University river regatta rowing for trophies Surfers Paradise

Griffith and Queensland Universities take part in a rowing regatta held on the Nerang Rivers and just off Budds Beach in Surfers Paradise. The two Universities meet each year for the regatta which is also open to other rowing organisations where rowers in team and individual events race against each other for ultimately being able to stand on the podium to receive their medals and trophies. In sculling or rowing each rower has two oars or sculls, Rowing/sculling is usually done without a coxswain, in quads, doubles or singles up to eight person teams with coxswain. River front homes add the backdrop to the event, Here the rowers head for the beach after racing in their heat.
