CDC 3600 computer. The CDC (Control Data Corporation) 3600 was the first computer at the National Centre for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado, USA. It was invented in 1963, with 32,700 48-bit words of memory and used a FORTRAN compiler (an early computer programming language that consisted of holes punched into card).
