clock and cafe chairs on the platform of great malvern train station worcestershire uk

Great Malvern station was opened by the Worcester & Hereford Railway in 1860 and the present buildings by architect E. W. Elmslie were completed in 1862. It was later absorbed by the GWR. The buildings are in local Malvern Rag stone and follow a French Gothic theme. A particular feature of the station are the awning pillar capitals on both platforms. They are decorated with high relief mouldings depicting different arrangements of flowers and foliage. The station is operated by Central Trains and also served by First Great Western. holiday, travel, getting, away, from, it, all, vacation, leave, leaving, station, trainspotting, railway, lines, station, track, distance, horizon, waiting, british, rail, rail, track, old, fashioned, unkept, train, travel, make, tracks, track, railway, lines, stop, platform train station grw bench great western train malvern worcestershire french gothic old romantic stunning visual platform rail rails railway paving pavment arch arches travel journey chair seat sit sitdown wait red feature
