A late 19th century view of the little port Porthmadog aka Portmadoc, a Welsh coastal town in the Eifionydd area of Gwynedd and the historic county of Caernarfonshire. It developed in the 19th century as a port for slate as quarry companies, with wharves exported slate carted from Ffestiniog.
