NAS JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 11, 2018) Commander, Navy Region Southeast Rear Adm. Bette Bolivar gives the thumbs up prior to take off in an MH-60R helicopter with Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 74 from Naval Air Station Jacksonville to assess damages over the Florida Panhandle. The area was devastated during Hurricane Michael on Oct. 10. Navy and Marine Corps personnel and assets will be prepared to provide Defense Support to Civilian Authorities, if requested through Northern Command in response to Hurricane Michael relief efforts.
