Peterborough, UK. 10th July, 2020. Peterborough Lido stands empty and the water in the pool has turned green. Outdoor swimming pools, like the Peterborough Lido, have been told they may open from Saturday July 11, after a further relaxation of the COVID-19 Coronavirus lockdown. It has already missed a couple of months, and is unlikely to reopen this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will take days to empty the pool, and then around 20 days to fill it with water again.
