The Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum) is a deciduous hardwood tree native to the forests of Cananda and the nothern parts of the eastern United States. It is best known as the primary source of maple syrup, and for its extremely bright autumn foliage which can range from almost flluorescent yellows to re-orange in color.
