Theside walls of the incline are of concrete laced with granite and sur-mounted by a granite coping. Granite also surrounds the covered portion of the section is a concrete monolith. Nutsand washers are imbeded in the masonry to admit of the use of steeltie-rods for increasing the strength of the roof if deemed section is on a grade of 5 per cent and at the deep end the bot-Inni of the masonry invert is 39 ft. below the surface of the street. 114 STREET RAILWAY REVIEW. The portion under the harbor will be about20/2 ft. high inside and about 23 ft. wide, and about 2,250 ft. long,and has walls of 33 in. and upwards in thickness.
