Traditional Railway Sign Beware of the trains under Class 50 fifty at Bridgnorth Severn Valley Railway

The Severn Valley Railway is a heritage railway in Shropshire and Worcestershire, England. The 16-mile (26 km) heritage line runs along the Severn Valley from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, crossing the Shropshire/Worcestershire border, following the course of the River Severn for much of its route. Train services are hauled predominantly by steam locomotives though the railway boasts a large fleet of heritage diesel traction. The Class 50 Alliance Ltd owns three Class 50 (English Electric Type 4) diesel locomotives and operates a fourth which is owned by a small number of its shareholders. The Company was formed in 2013 by the merger of two groups, The Fifty Fund and Project Defiance.
