The Bristow operated rescue helicopter lands on rough ground in the Ogwen Valley, ready to rescue a walker


Ogwen Valley, Gwynedd, UK 3 October 2015. As dusk falls, in the Ogwen Valley, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter prepares to land to collect a walker injured near Tryfan. Bristow's S-92 helicopters are certified for night vision goggles (NVG) and have the first “glass cockpit” to be certified NVG compatible. The aircraft has an air speed of 145 knots, an operational radius of action of over 250 nautical miles. Its endurance is about 4 hours. It carries a flight crew of 4. Its capacity is up to 21 persons or 3 stretchers, 10 seated persons.
