Fingers short, depressed, first ex- tending slightly beyond second ; toes short, nearly half webbed, the membrane extending as a fringe to their tips ; subarticular tubercles small; two strong, oval, compressed, metatarsal tubercles. The hind limb being carried forwards along the body, the tibio-tarsal articula- tion readies the tympanum. Skin with very small warts above ; a very large lumbar gland, at least as long as the head, depressed, elliptical; another subcircular gland on the shoulder.
