A German late-Gothic boar sword, first quarter of the 16th century Typically shaped blade with a double-edged, ridged point. A rectangular aperture to slot in the cross bar at the base of the ricasso. The long ricasso cut with double fullers on each side, broadening at the root of the blade. Smith's mark stamped on one side. S-shaped, curved quillons (slightly bent), with a simple mounted iron rain chape.
