Barr's home, when the younger members of the club will have charge of the proceedings. After the business meeting, the club was addressed by I'rofessor Herbert Beck, of Franklin & Marshall College, who spoke on "Bird ; The lecture was illustrated with mounted speci- mens, and the lecturer gave the calls and notes of many of the song birds which frequent our gardens and of which we know so little. Professor Beck's talk proved to be one of the most interesting and instructive lec- tures the club has had. The club's next meeting will be held on the third Thursday in May. Various Notes. A destructive frost on the night of April 21, when the temperature de- scended to 25 degrees above zero, dam- aged the fruit crop. A. F. Strickler has a fine cut of daf- fodils outdoors. He exhibited two fine vases of them at the Florists' Club meeting last week. Ira H. Landis has 25,000 fine Darwin tulips coming into bloom. Mr. and Mrs. B. F.
