The plants form strong, branching bushes, 2 to 2j feet high, bearing on long, strong stems flowers which under ordinary cultivation, average 5 inches across. They come into bloom from two to three weeks afler the average type, usually being at their best during September, and, all things considered, are the most valuable of all Asters, either for cutting or for bedding, and if only one kind of Aster is grown this is the type which will likely give the best results. prr fer % oz.
