Members of the Fort Lee Color Guard await the signal to begin their performance during a medals presentation event for Richard Bell Jr. Aug. 26 at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center near Richmond. Bell, 99 years old, was a member of the Red Ball Express logistical operation and received medals for the endeavor more than 72 years after it occurred.
