Gibraltar - 7th October 2015 - A Spanish Serviola-class patrol boat, the p71 Serviola was today observed navigating through Gibraltar waters, across the bay of Gibraltar closely followed by a Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron patrol vessel. The presence of the Spanish naval vessel comes after numerous incursions into Gibraltar waters by Spanish state vessels have been reported in recent weeks, including the presence of two Spanish state vessels last week montoring a UK Border Forces exercise on the east side of the Rock of Gibraltar. The presence of the Spanish naval vessel comes after numerous incursions into Gibraltar waters by Spanish state vessels have been reported in recent weeks, including the presence of two Spanish state vessels last week montoring a UK Border Forces exercise on the east side of the Rock of Gibraltar. The incursions have been condemned by the UK Government as "unacceptable".
