Guan are rare to locally fairly common in montane forest and forest borders in highlands of Chiriquí. Moderately numerous in the Fortuna area. Usually in pairs, which can be tame in remote areas with little or no hunting and areas where hunting has been effectively halted as at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in Costa Rica. Range: Costa Rica and western Panama
