DREER Hardy Plants WHOLESALE LIST Dreer's Fragrant Peonies Double Herbaceotis Peony The wonderfully improved Peonies intro- duced in recent years are truly the 'Queen of Spring- Flowers,' and are well adapted for massing in beds, and particularly valuable for planting- in groups throughout the peren- nial or shrubbery border, where their bril- liant hues add attraction to all around. Their requirements are so simple—a good rich, deep 5oil, and an open sunny position which, how- aver, is not absolutely necessary, as they thrive almost equally as well in a partly shaded position, and a liberal supply of water iuring their growing season being sufficient CO give an abundance and wealth of flowers, vhich rival the finest Roses in coloring and ragrance; and produce during their flower- ng season a gorgeous effect not equaled by my other flower. They are perfectly hardy, requiring no protection whatever, even in the nost severe climate, and once planted in- crease in beauty each year. An important point to observe in the plant- ng of Herbaceous Peonies is not to plant too deep. The roots should be placed so that the crowns are covered with two inches of soil.
