EAST CHINA SEA (Oct. 14, 2018) - A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, assigned to the “Flying Tigers” of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262, reinforced, takes off from the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during flight operations. Wasp, flagship of Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
