The wounded animal retired into the bush and Count Teleki followed her. Pre- sently he heard her heavy breathing, and, approaching carefully, he could make out that she had got wind of him and was on her feet again. A minute later she dashed past him, but some forty paces further on she fell again. He could only see her head now, but he fired again and fortunately hit. She sprang.
