Mushroomhouse by Earl A. Young (1889 - 1975). Over a period of 52 years, Young designed and built 31 houses in Charlevoix, Michigan. His original plan was to build a fairytale village of stone houses. The special feature of Charlevoix's Mushroom Houses are the boulders from which they were individually constructed by architect Earl Young.
