Maidens beaten three or more times since closing of the stake, allowed 5 lbs.; and if not placed second or third, 7 lbs. additional. Five fur- longs. No. 3. The Governor's Stake—A handicap for three-year-olds and upward. Entrance $10, to accompany nomination; $20 additional for horses not .declared by 4 p. m. day preceding the race; with $350 added by the Society, of which$7G to second and $30 to third. Weights posted at 12 m. day preceding the race. A winner of a race other than a selling race after the weights are published, to carry 5 lbs. extra. One mile and a furlong No. 4.
