Teoyaomiqui, Aztec Idol in the National Museum, 1883, by William Henry Jackson
Teoyaomqui (or Huahuantli) was the Aztec god of dead lost souls, particularly those who had died in battle. There is a very old legend that tells of his banishment from Tlalocan. He was also a solar deity, and the god of the Sixth Hour of the Day.
