5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (March 25, 2013) Gunner's Mate Seaman Daniel Hernandez, from San Antonio, performs maintenance on a .50-caliber machine gun on the fantail of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53). Mobile Bay is deployed with the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
