Cirrus clouds are made of ice crystals and are typically found above 6000 meters or 22,000 feet. They are often called Mares' Tails or Horses Tails because of their strong resemblance to them. Low-stage Cumulus clouds form about 2000 meters or 6,600 feet thus are below the Cirrus clouds.
